About this place
Located inside Oyamadai Ichiba directly outside Oyamadai Station on the Tokyu Oimachi Line, Vivid Pasar captures the informal charm of a Southeast Asian market stall while serving authentic Indonesian cuisine. Dishes can be eaten on-site or packaged for takeout as a bento, offering a handy way to bring vibrant spice into everyday dining.
The natural starting point is nasi campur, an Indonesian staple built with rice encircled by a choice of main and side dishes, designed to be enjoyed while gradually working in the piquant chili condiment sambal. Leading the mains is rendang, beef simmered patiently in coconut milk and aromatic spices until deeply savory and rich, pairing naturally with rice. Poultry options include ayam guling, a Balinese-style spit-roasted chicken turned until evenly cooked, alongside the spice-paste-seasoned ayam betutu, as well as less common options such as ikan pepes, fish steamed in spices.
The sambal chosen to finish the plate is customizable. Selections include the raw, aromatic sambal matah tossed with chopped raw shallots and lemongrass; sambal hijau, which combines green chilies and bell peppers for a clean, sharp heat; the garlic-forward punch of sambal bawang; and sambal terasi, enriched by the deep, fermented savor of shrimp paste.
Diners can switch the standard jasmine rice to nasi goreng for an additional fee, or layer on rotating daily side dishes like stir-fried tempeh and papaya salad, tailoring the plate to their own tastes.
